Pynchon's words for Murdered By Capitalism:

"It is a ripsnorting and honorable account of an
outlaw tradition in American politics which too seldom
gets past the bouncers at the gateways of our national
               narrative."

I guess that means that he will let pass (fuckit, man, look---the dude's
jumping up and down in his goddamned chair) when he's reading---

"What labor needs is dynamite, the only means to make the plutocrats
and the white collar mob know they are hated." or "The U.S. Media
reported the first Gulf War as if it were good clean family fun, an exciting,
educational video game for all ages. the murdered and the maimed
never showed up on TV dead or alive." or "About time," snarled Darby.
"I say let's set off our barrage tonight in honor of the Haymarket bomb,
bless it, a turning point in American history, and the only way working
people will ever get a fair shake under that miserable economic
system---through the wonders of chemistry!"---oops, sorry, Pynchon
wrote that last one now, didn't he? Check his blurbs for all the books
he's recommended, then read the books he's recomending and then
tell me who's doing the talking here, what the intent of this master
narrative voice really is, where we can find the "point" of these
Menippean Satires. Cause if it's satire, somebody's gonna get skewered.
And something tells me it's more likely gonna be Jay Gould than
Mario Savio.

                     Keith:
Translate: Let's take him at your word.
