Are not "clever, but boringly obvious" mutually exclusive terms?

Just because he composes elaborately accurate pictures of mass killers, Nazi style scientific "experimenters", slavers, reaganaut prison camp imagineers and rapine industrialists doesn't mean that his real intention is to question their natural and obvious legitimacy. After all these are not the kind of things that really matter to the subtle literary purposes of the Thomas Pynchon. I mean we're talkin triple flipean and mano a mano, man oh Manipippean.

Yeah, the "natural and obvious legitimacy" of the powers that be is
clearly Pynchon's message. Just ask Rusk Limbaugh and ditto me.

I mean this real -world politics shit. What does that have to do with the writings of Thomas Pynchon ?

But, Oh, BTW, "proper intellectual remonstration" is neither
Pynchon-related nor proper for this list, so please STFU.

And please consider this message neither proper, intellectual, nor a
remonstration, as it was intended to be none of the above.
