I get _most_ of the math in ATD, at least in theory, from my readings in the
history of science/math. I'm still a bit confused as to the theoretical as
opposed to operation differences between Vectors and Quarternions, and don't
ask me to solve a differential equation anytime soon, but I can more-or-less
follow along.

My only real problem with the ATD group read is that I'm working my way
through at least superficial readings of Pynchon's other works. And I am
forcing myself to more-or-less set ATD aside until it gestates for a bit.

In other news, I'm working on a post about Pynchon's use of science in M&D's
first section, which I hope to have up Monday or Tuesday of next week. And
I'd love to do a similar post on ATD, but I'm afraid it's going to have to
wait until I've read the book a time or two again. The science stuff is the
stuff that I like the most about ATD, so it holds a special place for me.
