Diabolical omniscience notwithstanding, I would still love to find out why
the new Penguin Deluxe Classics version doesn't have an introduction, when
all the other Deluxe Classics do. It does seem significant (even though it
apparently doesn't signify that Pynchon is completely dead set against
introductions to his work). Are there any p-listers with an insider's track
to Penguin/publishing?
