Love of Objects

Do we all remember---I didt'n; I'm rereading---the words on the love of things
  that Pynchon gives Benny in V......and that scene with Rachel O. talking lovingly to her MG?
   
  Who is it in ATD that goes on and on about headgear? Bet they are a kind of deuce kindred
  to Rachel O. in that.
