Admittedly, I'm bandying around the term "karma" like the ignorant western-hemispherean I am, but it seems as if Lake marrying Deuce instead of killing him creates a massive karma imbalance.  Question for those who know all that the term implies:  must karma be balanced at all times?  Wasn't the injustice of Lake's action, karma-wise, similar to the massive injustice looming in Europe?
