ATDDTA(10) Frank Goes Down [273]

It's fascinating how we go from Deuce/Lake to Frank/Wren. Similar
sexual exploits, but with Wren more in charge. Frank and Wren are
more substantial characters than Deuce and Lake. Wren much more so
than Lake. Deuce and Lake connect more with the genitals. Frank and
Wren are all about eyes, eye contact, looking. Frank has stuff he is
reticent to share with Wren - that he is looking for Deuce/Sloat for
revenge. Deuce has stuff he doesn't want to tell Lake - that he
killed her father. Mind-twisting transition from the Deuce/Sloat/Lake
saga to the story of Frank/Wren. There's much there that I haven't
quite gotten yet.

I decided to argue with myself about Lake and the self won.

Lake is indeed, as many of you have said previously, in some kind
of stage of re-inventing herself when she becomes the "virgin bride."
This is the prelude to the kind of denial she'll be going through
later and it's very, very much in character.

Probably someone said that already.

back to work - maybe more this weekend (god forbid)
