860 cc...San Michele, nicknamed The Island of the Dead, is the cemetery island of Venice.....What is the Arsenale's Mystery (if San Michele's is the Mystery of death)?.....

  I want to suggest that the Mystery of the Arsenal is the "mystery" of living with weapons of war, destruction and the making of death....of walking in the shdow of the mystery as if it were not there".......
