Pynchons Over Andover

April is the cruelest month...

here's my version of oil to add to the vinegar:

1) 4 pugs - that must be kinda fun...
I'm more of a cat person, but my wife would dearly
love 4 pugs. I've promised her "someday" on that...
well maybe not 4 - but one.
4 would make every walk an "Evenk" (still thinking in Popeye talk...)

2) I think Henry was angling for an anecdote anterior
to the facts in David's post (walking 4 pugs, getting questioned,
tracing back towards the first protein molecule)...but
I think that David cleverly embedded the anecdote in the
reference to it (telling it while pretending not to)
-- unless there's more, David? (I'm all ears, as Ross Perot said)

3) so in the US, there seem to be more than a breadbox
full of Pynchons. There's reference to a brother, um, someplace
in addition to a sister. The Spermatikos Logos also mentions
a "Pinco" involved ini the Norman Conquest
(kinda funny considering how many people find his
writing leftist) Thanks for checking that, David.
I will call them all and report back...(just kidding)

4) I think that David Pynchon - whoever he may be - has
a nice way with words in his own right. I would be happy
to be in his class, and gratified with such an assignment.

blessings on you all. I have had a shitty day, but for some
reason I'm still in a good mood. "It just don't phaze me,
life's problems roll off me like water off a duck's back"
