Permit me to clarify hasty writing: After he's outta London, nothing
bad seems to happen to Slothrop's other girls/women, except perhaps to
Bianca (what is it Slothrop moves against in his pain in the dark?),
suggesting that he does NOT draw down the V2's out of the sky, but is
rather, as we know, drawn to the V2, and in London that includes being
drawn the V2's eventual impact sites (the sites are not the targets;
the targets are less specific). Slothrop is no cryptomisogynist; he
is The Man Who Loved Women and the V2.
