that seems like a word that is just begging to be used by OBA:
1) Projective geometry - projecting one surface onto
another surface, a form of mapping - in which eigenvalues
come into play
2) Projector - a cinema reference (which of course does
conform to the laws of projective geometry, come to
think of it...)
3) even an old-school meaning, apparently in London in
the mumble-mumble century (around Dr Johnson's time?)
there were guys who would go around trying to find investors
for "projects" such as, oh, forming a company to exploit the indigenes
of one place or another...these people were encountered
frequently enough to acquire a name in common parlance,
which was "projector"
