.... saved me a lot of time by writing an excellent overview of IPW 2008,
available here:
http://www.electronicbookreview.com/thread/fictionspresent/speculated

quote:
"It remains to be hoped that the Munich organizers - centered around
Sascha Pöhlmann, who did a marvellous job - will make a good selection
for the eventual publication of the papers: either as another special
issue of Pynchon Notes or - in case they need or wish to have them out
soon - at another publisher. A serious and valid collection of essays
seems imperative, too, in order to stuff the mouth of those snotty
journalist-correspondents from (German) newspapers whose conference
reports appeared in the week after the Munich IPW event."

Article does not mention, of course, conversations during breaks, lunch
hour, dinner parties or at that particular intstitution, a 'Beer
Garden', new contacts being established, old renewed etc.

New voices I like a lot: Rod Taveira, Samuel Thomas (am currently
reading his P and the Political), Simon de Bourcier and others.

So, waiting for Zofia's Call for Papers for IPW 2010 in Lublin, Poland...

And thanks again, Sascha, for this week of fun! (my colleagues at work
think I am crazy by considering this fun)

Michel.
