Dependent Origination & Grace

The inhuman and inhumane forces are countered by Grace. And, Pynchon, who we
now know as the son of Brockden Brown, Hawthorne, Melville, Thoreau, Adams,
Fitzgerald ...& Co., a Catholic Boy with Puritan Calvinism stained in his
bloody beard, is so not the European or Eastern philosopher, but an
American, Post-Ralph Emerson/ Ellison author of novels about America's
uncertain, obscure, yet determined Labor to "partakers of the divine
nature."

   TO HIM who in the love of Nature holds   Communion with her visible
forms, she speaks   A various language; for his gayer hours   She has a
voice of gladness, and a smile   And eloquence of beauty, and she glides *
         * Into his darker musings, with a mild   And healing sympathy, that
steals away   Their sharpness, ere he is aware.
