Re Face à Pynchon, the complete title is actually the other way round ("Face
à Pyncon - un hurlement traverse le ciel") and it has not been edited by
Anne Battesti -- I don't think she was involved at all -- but by Claro, who
is the translator of AtD. He actually wanted to give to his translation the
title "Face au jour", but Pynchon disagreed to the proposal and asked him to
use "Contre-jour" instead. I guess Claro "recycled" his idea for the
collection. A couple of the pieces -- the ones by American writers -- are
translation of things that were published by Bookforum in their Pynchon
feature of summer '06. What I'm looking forward too, though, is French
writers take on Pynch', which makes up most of the book.

As for Cyclocosmia, glad it gets a mention here. I wrote one of the article.
Except for Chamerois, none of the contributors are academics. This is pretty
much a work of love and I hope you'll find it interesting. For a Pynchon
expert, a lot will be known but I think we have here something that is worth
your time (and money). Just note the whole magazine is not about Pynchon
although he is the focal point of the issue.
