  well maybe it's a little propeller-headed and not firmly grounded in the text,
but my thought is the Chums are building "ever more stately dwellings,
shutting them from Heaven with a dome more vast"
and the source of the light that is going to cleave the sky is
friendly old Mr Sun, Sol Invictus doing his reliable illumination bit,
Chums recapping Hesse's journey to the East (Reise nach Morgenland)
...and the book is "very nice indeed"
