Not trying to beat a dead  horse, just trying to understand exactly what 
the problem is...  Is the problem that the codes are unconverted (stored 
as text) on/by Waste?   In that case, it would seem that pasting the 
text into an html-aware reader would recreate the original without 
junk.  Or is the problem that the codes ARE converted, into something 
that can no longer be read as anything but junk?
