I'm almost done 2666 and will probably just start reading it again
right away... it's sooo fantastic.
If anyone doesn't know... I would imagine most people do... the
murders in the book are based on a real, and still unsolved, crime
wave in Mexcio. The fact he pays homage and gives a voice to these
women - many of the deaths are based on real murders (if not all
maybe? either way i know of several that are though) - in this way...
its very touching and, for lack of my ability to think of something
better to say... very very cool.
I can't recommend it enough.
