It's a stretch Henry. The man's atire is ubiquitous, which is
probably why Pynchon might wear it. The teeth? Maybe. The grammar?
Hmmmm.
I played the trailer in Quicktime, and paused it at the beginning of
the subject's part. Then proceeding one frame at a time I was still
unable to determine the movie. But when the black store owner takes
the tape he turns the front toward the camera. The title in red and
yellow at the top is unreadable, but two standing men, one white and
one black, are on either side. Of course this movie stars a black and
white two-man team...
