Seriously, can you think of a better visual realization of the Marquis de Sod episode?

Hey, what a brilliant idea! Is there any way we can contact
Matt Groening just to pass this idea on? I can't imagine he's
too busy with The Simpsons movie and Futurama out the way. . . .

. . . .is to laugh, but seriously [drumstick held lightly above the
high-hat, anticipating the inevitable rim-shot] remember
'Friend Tom'? I would seriously wonder how much script
involvement OBA had in "Diatribe of a Mad Housewife.":

[friend tom]

Our pastor said that this week of Christmas would be a good time for us to
reach out to people who may not have Christ in their lives. That is why I am
writing this message to the group. I have read some of the messages in the
list and I am pretty sure that few, if any, of you have heard His message.
Is that right?

I have also read the rules about posting to this group, so I will mention
that my wife and I are reading two of Mr. Pynchon's books: Gravity Rainbow
(me) and Vineland (wife). My wife tried but found it too difficult to read
more than a dozen or so pages. She laid it down and said "Dumb book." I
apologize for offending you but i have to be honest if I am going to help
you save yourselves. I will continue to read the Gravity book.

Why am I posting this? I think it is relevant. Why? because I have heard
many negative things about lurkers and I don't want to be one. I am posting
this so you will know that I am a recipient of your messages. I am not a
lurker. I have one purpose, and I am open about it: To help you find Christ
and to bring Him into your lives.

Remember that He is watching you, and so am I. We love you. Merry Christmas.

>From now on I will post messages that relate directly to Mr. Pynchon's work.
I will start with Gravity and move out from there.

That by way of introduction.
