The Anti-Pynchon Author of Note?

Bad Brock!

This weekend, as do many, reminded me (as if I need reminding) that, while I
have a deep appreciation of peace, I do enjoy a good fight, no matter how
short or one-sided. Like my father used to say: you learn a lot about a man
from a good fist-fight with him; and never trust a man who's afraid to hit
you square in the face (in a fair fight [hm]).

Speaking of wh-itch (in spite of an otherwise anglophilic accent, I'm from
NY: I don't and never will pronounce the "h" in "which" or in "youmin"),
check out my (for better or for worse) pugilistic blog, link below.

For what it's worth (FWIW), I'm one or two Roth's short of a full deck, i.e.
I haven't read his last one or two. When possible, I make it a particular
point of reading Roth after diving deep, and consequently long, into a
Pynchon universe. For better or for worse (FBFW), Roth (Philip, not Henry,
who I understand I should also have on my reading list) brings me back to my
needy/dying (no one hear gets out alive!) meat/body.

Oh, yeah! Roth-Lit=Lower, Pynchon-Lit=Upper chakras (I am not seeking
simple disagreement, but argument, as in the Monty Python routine), i.e.
iamb NOT saying that Roth doesn't bring incredible intelligence and maybe
unevidenced spirituality to his books (are there Roth short stories other
than the Frosh English 101 must-read?).

Thought I'd try my hand at P-Liste trickle of conscience.

Ramble-on!
