Flew to Olympia, Wash. today for a long awaited family reunion.
Re-read on thhe plane for the fourth or fifth time Kit's passage 
thru Tannu Tuva. This is going to figure bigtime in the novel's
finale. I know that clear calcite [aka Iceland Spar] offers 
multiple simultaneous perspectives, theoretically with different
possible future outcomes. Like futurism of cubism. I've looked 
through a number of these crystals and a view through one of 
these can bequite dizzying.

Someone else can tell me yea or nay, but I sense that 
some of the more active and intense sequences in AtD
seem to have the times axes folding back a forth, like
events passing through Iceland Spar. This will take
more reading to really figure out, but note how many 
different perspectives we are given of the Tunguska
event.

My stepson Devon proudly presented us with a DVD he 
pick up from Huun Huur Tu at a live concert---Been 
Away For a While---signed by all four members of the
band. Will doubtless watch and report.
