sweet and sweet. Thank you. He was an inspiring
performer and not just a Hendrix sideman by any means
couple stray findings though, anent JH -
a) lots of new (to me) Jimi posthumous material out there now
(apparently his adopted sister elbowed out the brother (boo)
but has organized a really commodious web-commerce and
made some hitherto unavailable stuff available (yay), including
a Jimi Hendrix experience Christmas mini-LP - this I must have...)
I used to have a tape of him and Jim Morrison jamming
somewhere, similar to "Morrison's Lament" on the YouTube
but longer and including what sounded like a very drunk Morrison,
horking, with an amused and polite Jimi, "that's Jim Morrison on
the, uh, on the, uh..."
b) he was probably irritated, but it struck me funny
that the Axis Bold as Love album cover art was a
misunderstanding by the art department of Mr Hendrix's
request for them to emphasize his Indian heritage
c) he and TRP both spent a year in the military
