I, too, am looking forward to Heather Lawless's answer, but what about the
"I know nothing about TRP" conspiracy? If it resembles him, then at least
there's reason to believe that it was intended to do so. Or... pure
happenstance?

IF she says YES, we've learned something fascinating and interesting. I do
think Pynchon
might like Gondry's work..(I have not seen the new one but have two
older ones)
But if she denies it, we would expect that and have learned nothing.
Unless she identifies him and we can verify?

The "Inside the Mind of P" clip says he's 6' 2".
I found this website w/ an email contact for Heather Lawless.

And I sent her this email:

Heather,
In the trailer for "Be Kind Rewind" a man walks up next to you into
the video store with a tape and says "This video don't work." On the
Thomas Pynchon internet reading group at Waste.org someone has
suggested that the unidentified man is Thomas Pynchon. He does look
like the very few photos taken of him many years ago. Could you tell
us if that is correct?
Sincerely,
David Morris

Let's see if she replies.
