at the Vibe seat...where Kit allowed himself to be seduced
by Dittany in the stable
("I'm not a stableboy"
"I don't care about your mental condition - water my horse!")
Vibe had unrolled a red carpet of sorts,
besmirched, tattered in places, but with some measure of grace

I mean, I deplore robber barons as much as the next guy,
but nobody's perfect...
if there existed a real vector for Kit to have inherited the
Vibe holdings, pickle monopoly and all...
to be a suitor instead of a dalliance for Dittany...
(who Fleetwood thought might be purer than the rest of them,
ie maybe fit for Kit)
it may not be the main melody (in a story told
ukulele fashion, there may not be a main melody)
but there ought to be some remorse and sadness
for the spurning and devaluation of everything Vibe
-- he really did reach out for Frank and Kit, repeatedly...
Webb reallly was a criminal...
