We note that Darby doesn't leave the Chums,
although they are becoming a capitalist endeavour.

Also, on rereading, I noticed that the Chums took
Prance aboard.
Other than Pugnax's friend, and visits from various personages,
nobody else comes onto the Inconvenience with an open-ended
remit, do they?  Other than by imputation toward the end of
the story?

(also noticed that the text could have saved
me the trouble of calculating the antipode of Tunguska,
had I but read it more thoroughly)
