letter re Sunday's party

I found myself uncharacteristically close (geographically speaking) to the party at two different points today but didn't go, due to a mixture of loyalty to Mark, social ineptitude and dread of getting dropped off there but then painstakingly having to make my way back to my corner of Brooklyn via public transportation (Red Hook to Midwood).

Anyways, we should all have a NYC area Pynchon gathering sometime (with dim sum, caffeine or alcohol?). Next weekend would be logical (it's closer to his birthday) but unfortunately I'm out of town then. Maybe in June when/if Heikki's in town?
