This reminds me of something my mother told me.  One day in 1939, she was sitting on a NYC bus.  Everyone was reading newspapers with the headline:  RUSSIA INVADES FINLAND.  My mother, an ardent member of the Young Communist League, was reading the Daily Worker, which bore the headline:  FINLAND INVADES RUSSIA.
