Yes, very symbolic, yes?...right out of the Gr ethos.....a gun-minded friend tells me there is a shot tower in Tom Sawyer....

But, here in the Dostoevsky and terrorism ethos thru Coetzee's awareness
I want to suggest an association with bullets and death....throuout history.

That Nechaev killed Ivanov to bind "the movement" is one reason why the Nechaev Affair became an archetypal/fountainhead action in terrorism history....I suggest.
