Dick by name, Dick by nature, I always say that ...

But the Republicans have obviously, with no small amount of cynicism,
self-contradiction and/or self-restraint, figured out that sex sells.
"Bob Dole knows a little about Viagra,"  And I'm guessing Karl Rove or
somesuch, not to mention of course Palin herself, knows a little
something about a few of yr more mainstreamed fetishes.  Yr MILFS, yr
lipstick librarians, yr glasses, yr shiny black boots ... she's
appealing to the base in more than one sense of the word.
Purposefully. even.  What ISN'T done as such during these campaigns?
Again, it's hardly as if Obama, or even Biden, as has been claimed
recently in these very pages, isn't entirely unattractive as well ...

And, certainly, that nexus of sex and politics is, yr pornographies of
ppwer are, of no small Pynchonian interest ...
