I wouldn't have posted the item in the first place without there being

Keep in mind, it's hardly as if i've been posting nonstop
antiPalinisms here, even though it wouldn't be difficult. My problem
with her is not that she's female, or even necessarily that both she
and her party are using that fact cynically, it's that she's yet
another entry a decades now long line of vapidly,
lowest-common-denominator populist Republican candidates at a time
when we need more than ever smart, responsible people running this
country. Even McCain finally said, on the current economic crsis,
that he would gather the smartest people he knew to deal with it. But
why not put educated people directly into office as well? I tire of
intelligence being seen as a design flaw in candidates ...
Here's something on gender and Palin I don't recall posting here, but
