I'm really enjoying the "logic" by which, by virtue of Alaska's
proximity to our old (and now defunct, in case anyone hasn't been
following the last decade and a half or so of news) cold war
archnemesis, The Evil Empire, she thus has foreign relations/national
security "experience." Which I would imagine implies that, as Barack
Obama will hopefully prove to be our first Hawaiian-American president
(do note, by the way, all four points of the compass in this election,
plus the 1st, 50th/21st, and 48th and 49th at LEAST states o' the
Union represented--but NOT, in the face of decades of presidential
political "wisdom," the Old South), he should handily be able to deal
with those wily Orientals, and disspell any thoughts they might be
(Pearl) harboring of extending their Co-Prosperity Sphere Honoluluward
...
