"Nobody can achieve the American Dream or live an American lifestyle without protection and empowerment by the government."
I enjoyed reading your selection of George Lakoff, actually, he is new to me. The Republicans tend to be cereberal and symbolic successfully because they have so terribly screwed up in reality and in dealing with the problems facing everybody, (war, falling home values, foreclosures, health care, energy prospects, depreciating currency-rising prices, onandon). Both canidates are pandering, naturally, unconcerned with the weightier issues, and more concerned with the numbers. I was always a Democrat, but I've given-up. I'm not voting anymore. I'm not giving a green-light to corruption anymore, and both parties are massively corrupt. Still I pay attention to all the schnanigans. It's only a living contempory storie of life, and it never changes, in principle.
The quote on top is the one sentance in the George Lakoff article that I took issue with, like, I disagreed with it, if curious, again look at: tolfa.us-down.htm (The gov does not protect us, that's a joke, and the only enpowerment it gives, is to those lumpen employed by the gov.)
I havn't yet figured out how you do the To: to a specific individual. But I've adopted the C + P much to my delight, it's the little things...
