Dave:
"A-and congratulations CERN on the first successful test of the LHC!"
I'm sure they're connected, isn't everything? But you've got me
thinking (uh-oh). How would Henry Adams see the LHC, if somehow
transported through time to the present? As a modern (postmodern?)
Mont Saint Michel, or Chartes?
That Higgs boson- like the final stone in the cathedral of some
already passed over theology.
A-and James' Hyacinth, of "The Princess Casamissima," would he
still find it all so charming on a Grand Tour that included CERN?
Somehow they figure to single it all up into one neat bow, but on
whose dime?
Meawhile, somebody is still blasting through the rock, cooking the
meals, taking out the trash. Who knows what tatzelworms lurk
beneath those alps just awaitin' for the right knock to set them
free?
