          At the risk of sounding Mansonesque - GR is 
          OBA's "White Album". All the way from the 
          howling that comes across the sky in Paul's 
          "Back in the USSR" through John's "Goodnight" 
          that resonates with the last page of GR, 
          preceded by "Revolution 9", fragmentary as 
          GR's last part....with your inside out & outside 
          in, water music in mountain streams, warm 
          guns, piggies all over the place, etc.

          AtD is OBA's "Sandinista".

Gravity's Rainbow is Pynchon's "Tragic" Symphony, 
Mason & Dixon is his "Song of the Night" and OBA's 
Against the Day is a shotgun wedding of "Symphony of 
a Thousand" and "Das Lied von der Erde."

is the Rückert Lieder and Vineland is Lieder eines
fahrenden Gesellen.]
