fwiw

1. GR Way out ahead. In a pack with The Recognitions, JR and Auto Da
Fe for my favourite novel ever.
2. V. Always interesting, has remained a pleasure through many readings
3. COL49 Small, but perfectly formed
4. Slow Learner. Sets out so much for what follows
5. M&D. Beautiful in parts. Utterly self indulgently dull in other
parts (eg the giant vegetable section).
6. AtD. Also beautiful in parts. But even more self indulgent.
Lacking plot or focus. I cringe at every appearance of the CoC.
7. Vineland. Maybe if I watched television... but I find it
impossible to care about anybody in this novel.
