let's talk contemporary russian authors

As far as I know,  Russian literature since the advent of capitalist  
system (or whatever it is)  has been mostly in the realm of mystery  
and detective fiction.
Boris Akunin is published in English and there are a few others like  
Victor Pelvin but not many.
