Here in DC, Fugazi is a local band, Nice? PC and notsonewvant-gard, i.e.
I've heard it all before.

Saw them live at Fort Reno park a couple of years ago, and I could hardly
care less. If this is DC's best.. Zzzz.

Prefer "In on the Kill Taker" myself, but Ian is one of the nicest people
you will ever meet.

As a teen I felt Deeply Betrayed by Fugazi's 'Red Medicine', embarrassed
even (though I couldn't properly explain why) but bore in mind that my
parents felt the same about King Crimson's 'Three of a Perfect Pair'. With
time I grew into 'Red Medicine' and now consider it one of my Desert Island
Five.

Not that the songs in ATD are great, or even good... I've always had mixed
feelings about Pynchon-the-songwriter. Mostly I considered the seeming drop
in quality (and meter) to be indicative of the period. A great deal of
music from back then is awkward if not mothergodawful.
