NP: BIG Coetzee spoiler

The paper is Chapter Two of Coetzee's Elizabeth Costello, I think word  
for word. One might ask what this woman is doing, a book of her own,  
The Lives of Animals, and popping up unannounced in Slow Man. I can't  
recall off hand if she made an appearance in Diary of a Bad Year.
