Without a doubt, Otto, but we also need to remember the long-term cooptation
of many hippies/yippies/freaks.  Jerry Rubin, for example, ended up a
"businessman." 

Pynch-Lit and life are not black and white, either/or.   Many short-hairs
were more actively opposed to the war than many long-hair poseurs.  FWIW, of
the Chicago 7, only Rubin and David Dellinger attended Abbie Hoffman's
funeral.
