Hello all--

I enjoy all the conversation here at p-land. Think its time for me to
take a Pynchon break--what with David's passing and the sudden passing
of a lady friend of mine in May who got me into Pynchon,
reading/discussing Pynchon has become more difficult right now. I
thought it'd be good therapy but can't seem to distance my sadness
with all these reminders/connections with his books. (I've had to stop
my re-reading of IV, too--California & its promises featured
prominently in my relationship with my lady friend, alas)
so, apologies for the cryptic sob story

keep cool but care
i'll be back when the fog has lifted and I can walk & see the beach again
(as Capt Kirk once sed thinking about Yeoman Rand)

Rich
