This actually brought a tear to my eye this morning, it's very sad.

Come on, people!  Let's all pitch in and do our best so none of us has  
to feel this way ever again.

Think how much difference even a little tepid applause might have made  
in the case mentioned, below. Now we pay the price, of course, and  
must do without the hosting contributions of a p-lister with much to  
say -- all the more burden on Dave Monroe and others who consistently  
keep these discussions moving along with relevant research and  
suggestions.
