Editing Pynchon?

It's absurd to expect that 1085 page novel, a three pound mad romp,
will be a best seller. Sorry, I can't believe anyone could be so
wishful in thought.

I wish that P's next novel will feature only one character, a popular
fellow named Rinehart; an Invisibble Man and Allusion to an Invisible
Man disguised as Ralph Ellison wearing a William "Count" Basie
disguise.
