but wait, didn't you like the implicit commentary when that one guy did

and then how all the different folks - broke it down
and ran it down for Doc?
that for me was the peak...(although the bargain he makes, sort of
tops it off with a cherry...)
him learning more and more,
each time more noir, scurrilous, malicious, delicious,
...and then the trips he takes...physical and mental...

There really are zomes, you could look it up.

...and then the denouement. Where they end up, all,
you know... and it's kind of a metaphor for, like, other things!
Plus the fact of you-know-who coming to visit Doc.
That is kind of special in a Pynchon book.

just my .02.  Of course I liked it!
