Editing Pynchon?

GR is the product of great discipline.  Drugs are only facilitators,
but they can't facilitate something from nothing.  The threads of GR
are tightly woven and tie vast distances closely together.  Those
distances are expansive scholarship and the threads are inspired
artistry.  Those that don't see the discipline in GR haven't read it
enough.
