I know exactly the type, believe me. All except the effectiveness bit. Some of the things we see Doc do - eg. not knowing if you've said something out loud or just thought it, paranoia, etc. - are associated with dope smoking (although they could be caused by stringer stuff such as LSD). BUt some of the phenomena we associate with weed are not as prevalent, in my memory, as we might expect of a habitual toker: I'm thinking more of low-intensity stuff like lethargy, fuzziness of mind, inability to enter a shop and purchase a paper, etc. DOc still seems reasonably sharp, 'specially compared to his friends such as Denis.

Maybe I would see all this more clearly if I skinned up? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
