Around the time of ATD, we had a lot of posters on here arguing that
Hammett was better than Chandler, a view I found very difficult to
understand. haven't seen that view expressed here in the context of IV
yet. Some of the details of the early Lew Basnight segments of ATD did
recall Hammett, but it was always Chandler's voice I heard coming
through.
