I didn't mean to make it personal, but I couldn't ignore your
obstinate attitude and sarky tone. All I said was you are 'being' a
prick, I didn't say you were a prick generally. I also went along with
a lot of what you were saying, even throwing in an anecdote about a
beating I once took in the back of a police van in Dublin. And as you
may or may not know, those Gardai play rough.

For the record, I personally really like women, black people,
homosexuals, and marijuana. I spent a lot of the 1990s stoned. I lived
in Manchester during the heyday of the Gay Village. Man, I could go on
and on.

But Marlowe doesn't exhibit any of the bahaviours or attitudes you
seem to think. You have yet to quote me any racism or brutishness.
He's a far cry from Blicero. He's got more in common with Slothrop.

C'mon, I don't think I'm being that aggressive. I still count you as
one of the Counterforce. Don't count me out just yet. We got a nice
Group Read of Inherent Vice coming up.

If I was in Frisco, or you were here, we could smoke a Sportello
together and laugh this off, I'm sure.
