I think the Dude was mis-quoting something somebody else said, isn't it, 'human parasite'. Dunno about the shorts, but I love the bit when the 'fascist' chief of police is finished ranting at him, and he says do i make myself clear, and teh Dude says, "I'm sorry, I wasn't listening".
