does he? I know the Dude parrots others statements ("this will not
stand") but don't remember Walter saying it at any point

p.s. I wonder since the BL being so good that Pynchon's reference to
it in so many ways detracts from IV because the BL is such a unique
critter.
and how to you make a credible movie of IV that can transcend the
beautiful goofiness of the BL without creating some pale imitation.
