Yes, these are remasters, not remixes. Speculation is rife that
remixes will start to appear in a couple of years' time. They may even
synch them in with the 50th anniversaries of teh original release
dates. Fiendish eh?

Will also be interesting to see how these masters compare to the Dr
Ebbetts 'needle drops'. Ebbetts himself has issued a statement saying
that, on the strength of hearing these new masters, he's quitting the
bootlegging business. A strong statement.

If each CD package included both mono and stereo versions, I'd buy a
bunch of these on release day. I really want the mono, so I have to
either buy a wildly overpriced box set, or download  lossless versions
for free. the choice is mine...
